Hello CITE PA/DE! This section will be filled with history rich with the commitment of our members both past and present. I hope to bring you little known facts, Nostalgic memories, and important

information. Our chapter is part of the elite group of committed individuals that were on the ground floor of this organization’s beginnings. We are the carriers of the torch. Our purpose is to keep CITE PA/DE at the forefront of the other chapters. Working together, we can accomplish anything. 

 

Terri Dean SR Vice President of Global Communications for Verizon Business leaves Verizon at the Top of her Game. Extraordinary Women Verizon SR Leader and dedicated Cite Advisor will retire from Verizon after 33 years.

Terri is originally from Pittsburgh, she started this journey as an operator services summer hire in 1976. After graduation she returned to Bell Assistance Manager in Operator Services.

Terri advised that she planned her career all the way including retirement, she said she planned to retire at age 51 and she felt she was working rowed time she said “You can’t underestimate the need for a plan coupled with the ability to execute against it.” She advised that she was purposeful her planning and the career aligned as planned. Terri said she has been financially prudent. She said,” I am leaving at the top of my game, I am young and have a lot of things that I want to do in life, to make a difference in the world.”

Akida Stephens, Specialist – Business Operations Support, has been promoted to the position of Area Manager – Installation and Maintenance reporting to Cingari.  Over the next several weeks, Akida will be transitioning from her current staff assignment to the role of field operations manager.  Her specific area of responsibility will be announced shortly.
